DT Fencing is a fencing competition management application designed for clubs, coaches, and small tournament organizers. The app helps manage fencing competitions using formats based on the FIE (Fédération Internationale d’Escrime) competition rules.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the app.

1. No Personal Data Collection

DT Fencing does not collect, store, or transmit any personal user data to the developer or any external servers.

The app does not require:

  • User accounts
  • Login registration
  • Personal identification information
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers

All competition data is entered and controlled entirely by the user.

2. Local Data Storage

Tournament data created in the app may include information such as:

  • Fencer names
  • Match scores
  • Competition results
  • Rankings and standings
  • Tournament schedules
  • Team match information

This information is stored locally on the user’s device.

The developer of DT Fencing does not have access to this data.

3. iCloud Synchronization

DT Fencing optionally supports Apple iCloud (CloudKit) synchronization.

When iCloud sync is enabled:

  • Competition data is stored in the user’s personal iCloud account
  • Data is synchronized only between devices signed into the same Apple ID
  • All cloud infrastructure is managed by Apple

The developer cannot access, view, or retrieve any data stored in a user’s iCloud account.

4. Information Sharing

The app itself does not share any user data.

However, users may choose to display or share competition information as part of organizing fencing events. Examples include:

  • Displaying match results on external screens or projectors
  • Showing competition information to spectators
  • Sharing results through QR codes or public displays

These actions are fully controlled by the user organizing the competition.

DT Fencing does not transmit or distribute this information automatically.

5. Third-Party Services

DT Fencing does not integrate advertising networks, analytics services, or third-party tracking systems.

The only external service used by the app is:

Apple iCloud (CloudKit)

Used solely for optional user-controlled data synchronization.

6. Children’s Privacy

DT Fencing does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Competition participant names may be entered manually by tournament organizers.

Such information is entered voluntarily and remains under the control of the user organizing the event.

7. Data Control

Users have full control over all data created within the app.

Users can:

  • Edit or delete tournament data
  • Disable iCloud synchronization
  • Remove the app to delete locally stored data

iCloud data can also be managed directly through Apple iCloud settings.
